Casey Vieira, Writing Studio Student Manager
My name is Casey and I am Student Manager of the Writing Studio! Something I really love about the Writing Studio is being able to connect with students across disciplines, gaining exposure to their writing and scholarly worlds (as well as getting to know them as people). Outside of the Writing Studio, I am co-founder and vice-president of the Poetry Collective, and a Senior Peer Technologist at MCLA's Assistive Tech Lab. A fun fact about me is that I was named after a poem!
Mya Linsky
Hi, my name is Mya and I am a Junior English major at MCLA. My favorite thing about the Writing Studio is the people who work here and the fun energy we bring to the space. I am also the Editor-in-Chief of this year's edition of Spires, the on-campus literary journal. I love working with creative writing, academic writing, or just brainstorming and talking out ideas. I'd love to see you stop by!
Matt Lewellyn
My name is Matt, and I'm a senior associate at the Writing Studio! I am a double major in English and Philosophy, and I adore the comfy cozy space we have. From our fun paintings to our stellar couch and creative company, I adore working with writers of all kinds, particularly creative writers with a story to tell! I am also the President of the Poetry Collective, so you can regularly find me Tuesdays in Bowman 205, hanging on the quad, or in my townhouse with my friends! Be well and love always!
Mike Lynch
My name’s Mike Lynch, I’m a senior English major and what I love about the Writing Studio is its comfortable environment (hot cocoa and couch specifically). A fun fact about me is I hand fed a baby bear root beer and spaghetti in the woods of New Hampshire when I was 9.
Aja Mercer Noelle
Hi! I’m Aja (she/her). I am a Junior studying English with a Writing Concentration and three minors in Anthropology, Cross-Culture & Social Justice, and Critical Ethnic Studies. I am involved on campus as an Admissions Ambassador, Peer Mentor, Social Media Intern, Marketing Coordinator, and of course, a Writing Associate. I love analytical writing about human behavior across cultures and the evolution of language. I’m so happy to be a part of this community!
Belle Wurmser
My name is Belle, Class of 2027, and I have majors in Political Science and English (Writing), Minors in WGSS and Sport Coaching. I love working in the Writing Studio because it gives me the opportunity to help others develop as writers and become more comfortable with the medium while also being able to grow as a writer myself!
